Beautiful, coastal town with big houses and wonderful state parks! We, as a town, are known for Portland Headlight in Fort Williams Park. It’s one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. As much as the locals enjoy it, there are lots of tourists.

I grew up in Cape Elizabeth and it was the best decision that my parents could have made. I got an incredible high school education that prepared me to attend a NESCAC. There are countless neighborhoods that are great for raising kids. Just 7 miles from portland, its easy to get to the city for amazing food or fun drinks. The three state parks in the town, combined with the thousands of acres dedicated to the Cape Elizabeth Land trust, the town has preserved its beautiful coastlines, beaches, woods, ponds, and marshes, each with miles of walking/running trails. If you are looking for a safe place to raise children and give them the best opportunities, Cape Elizabeth is unmatched.
Growing up in this town was good for me, it has an excellent school system. While it has its flaws it has been a beautiful place to live. The schools have excellent teachers that are invested in student success. There are many places to walk and enjoy the scenery.
