Cape Elizabeth Reviews
The schools here are great! The Ocean is less than 5 minutes away from most houses. There are trails, beaches, and playgrounds and field to play in and take a family. Our neighborhood is well established and our neighbors get to watch each others' kids grow up. It is a close knit community which cares for the children, and looks out for each other.
Beautiful, coastal town with big houses and wonderful state parks! We, as a town, are known for Portland Headlight in Fort Williams Park. It’s one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. As much as the locals enjoy it, there are lots of tourists.
I grew up in Cape Elizabeth and it was the best decision that my parents could have made. I got an incredible high school education that prepared me to attend a NESCAC. There are countless neighborhoods that are great for raising kids. Just 7 miles from portland, its easy to get to the city for amazing food or fun drinks. The three state parks in the town, combined with the thousands of acres dedicated to the Cape Elizabeth Land trust, the town has preserved its beautiful coastlines, beaches, woods, ponds, and marshes, each with miles of walking/running trails. If you are looking for a safe place to raise children and give them the best opportunities, Cape Elizabeth is unmatched.
