HI, What I love about Cape Canaveral, FL. is the small beach town has always been free and easy living. I drove a cab for the last few years around central Brevard County and Cape Canaveral area has more families and children out celebrating the holidays than any area around. There is always outdoor fun with surfing, fishing, swimming, skateboarding, music and laughter. We have lots of events like boat races, seafood festivals, and rocket launches. It is a nice tight nit community. However, we welcome lots of people from all over the world here in our little town. We are the home port of four crews ships, there are several military bases and of course all the people that visit Cape Canaveral for our space program. The only thing I would change would be to have all my family move back here to our home town.
Thank you,
Kimberly Williams

My experience with living in Cape Canaveral, Forida has been absolutely pleasant. The neighborhoods are safe and the cost of living is reasonable. Living in a tourist town, one would think that life is quite loud here, but it is exactly the opposite. While there are many things to do in this town as well as in the neighboring cities, the atmosphere defines tranquility to perfection. With the Kennedy Space Center just around the corner and the beach an easy walking distance away, it truly feels like having the best of both worlds. Cape Canaveral is not only a great destination to visit, but it is also a lovely and relaxing place to call home.
If I could do it all over again, I probably would not choose to live here. I prefer more rural areas not cities like Cape Canaveral. What's great is that there is always something to do. Between the beach, mini golf, the port, and, the river, there is a wide range of activities. The location is great since it's only a short drive to Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, and Rockledge. The restaurants here are great especially by the port and towards the Cocoa Beach area. The prices are reasonable and the food is just delicious. The bad thing is that A1A runs right Cape Canaveral and the traffic can be downright terrible at times. Everyone is always so busy trying to get where they're going quickly. I almost got hit by a car twice just riding my bike down to the port. While I do like Cape Canaveral it is just not the place for me.
