Canton is a suburb just outside Atlanta, GA. Canton has a diverse population, diverse landscape and accommodations. The development of, what used to be a very rural area, is exploding with life! In the past year alone, multiple businesses and housing developments have been added as this is a sought after area. We are blessed to have acreage that gives our family lots of space to enjoy while only being minuets away from major shopping and exploration! Our charming downtown area is a perfect place for all, including historical sites, unique shopping and attractions, as well as, a community inclusive to all residents and visitors. The mountain backdrops are easily viewed and hold a "picture perfect" experience for those who desire the feeling of space, beauty and adventure. Canton is a "community minded" suburb attracting economical growth and family oriented involvement. While there is plenty of "hustle and bustle", there is a special kind of beauty throughout for nature lovers.

Where Metro meets the mountains! Small town feel without problems of crime or parking, etc. Easy to live. Atlanta to the south and mountains to the north with many easy day trips nearby. The part I love about it is the easy access to the outdoors. Within 15 minutes I can be hiking, biking, boating or swimming. Lakes, rivers, hiking trails abound. Schools are great too if you have children. The affordable housing is a big plus. Go two exits south to Woodstock and the price of housing jumps dramatically.
My family of 8 previously resided in Stone Mountain. I would have to say Canton by far has been the best quality of life experience. My favorite part about Canton is living in a nice, upkept, low crime area away from the city but, not too far. My kids grades have improved tremendously from their grades at Rockdale County. They went from being B & C students to A & B students and I believe it is due to the dedication of the teachers. My kids also enjoy being able to play freely with the other children in the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is like one big family and we all look out for each other. I have asked my neighbor's for a cup of sugar or even to use their power washer. Even everyday visited places such as grocery stores, banks, gas stations; have a higher grade of customer service than other areas. Living in Stone Mountain there has been times I was afraid to walk into the gas station to pay for my gas due to the loitering. Canton is a great place to live.
