I grew up in Canton and it's always been a safe community through my eyes. There is tons of shopping and good food on Ford Rd and Michigan Ave. Canton is in the center of the action. I mean its a quick 25-minute drive to the airport, Ann Arbor, and only about a 40-minute drive to downtown Detroit. I must say it can get quite boring as there isn't really places to walk around because all the main streets are busy. In the winter, roads are moderate, but being in Wayne County, it seems like they aren't a high priority. Potholes are an issue on many roads and don't seem to be fixed for a year to two years before they become very dangerous. Overall, Canton is a good place to live, it has a little bit of everything!

Canton Charter Township has been a wonderful place to grow up in. There are many different places to eat, shop, hang out, learn, and worship. Canton is a safe, diverse, growing area. I would definitely choose Canton to raise a family in!
The first word that comes to mind when I think about Canton is "utilitarian". Canton is a great place to raise kids with strong public schools and lots of activities for young ones. Full of upper-middle-class job opportunities and fast food chains, Canton is constantly growing and developing into a bustling town fanning out from the ever-busy Ford Road. While I am grateful for the good school system and easy access to any store you could think of, I feel that I have grown out of Canton and I'm ready for a breath of fresh air.
