Boring town, but overall good small community. While not everyone will find their group of friends here, there is still something for everyone. Not much happens, and there aren't many stores/fun activities in the area, but it's a fairly safe and calm place.

I am really not a fan of Candor. Although it is small, and good for if you want a lot of privacy, there is absolutely nothing to do here. It is also a very safe town to live in considering the population, but that does not come without its downsides. It is nearly impossible for teens to find jobs in the local area. Being that it is a small, white community, there is no diversity and that makes for not a lot of different ideas or opinions. It is just another one of the small towns within New York that is a dead end for many people that decide to stay after high school.
Candor is a great, small, family oriented town. The people are very friendly. I work in the local elementary school. I have been there for 9 years and the school is amazing. The community all know each other and you are welcomed and called by name everywhere you go.
