Canal Winchester is a modest suburb of Columbus, Ohio. It has a beautiful historic district and multiple exciting landmarks to explore. Stores, restaurants, medical facilities, and other related conveniences are within a short driving distance. However, the town has recently seen an explosion of pop-up logistical factories that inhabit most of the empty real estate. The public school system is also pretty good and offers multiple programs, such as Networking, Business, and Engineering, that allow students to explore their interests outside of the four core areas of study.
Canal Winchester is Friendly, safe environment to live in. They have plenty of places to shop, and eat. The people are friendly and helpful. Canal Winchester is a Suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Many people live, work, and shop there. They have a lot of features some suburbs do not offer such as shopping mall strips right next to friendly community restaurants. Canal Winchester is a very peaceful suburb and stores close down early in their town. It gets very quiet around in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Canal Winchester is home to the famous World Harvest Church featuring Dr. Rod Parsley. He can be seen live on breakthrough. or whc.life. This is a 5,200 seat congregation ministering to the needs of the lost and hurting world. Another feature of Canal Winchester is I enjoy the peaceful environment that I am around when I'm out that way. I love Canal Winchester a lot. I feel it is a great place to work and raise a family. They have very good school systems too. You will be in love.
I grew up one town over in Lithopolis, and I've lived in Canal since 2013, so I have a pretty good frame of reference for the area. Even though there's a lot of new businesses moving in, crime has gotten dramatically worse in the last 3 years as more and more of the crime from the Brice rd/Gender rd intersection area spills over into Canal. In terms of job opportunities the only real market here is fast food joints and bars, corporate jobs like mine are just non-existent in Canal and it's a hell of a commute up 33 towards Columbus where all of the white-collar jobs are. Rent prices around here have also steadily climbed, to the point where I used to pay $900 a month for my apartment in 2013 and I now pay $1300, which is pretty high for an area that has constant shootings, stabbings, robberies, vehicle thefts, apartment break-ins, prostitution, and drug deals. Seriously right outside my apartment I've witnessed prostitutes working, drug deals going down, cars being stolen, the works.
