Campbell is a mediocre town in the middle of nowhere. Although it has amazing people within it, like every other place on the planet, there are those who don't fit that category. The amount of antisemitism from the community and children in the schools is appalling. The town is mostly made up of white people, and although that's ok, diversity is always best. Diversity teaches us how to deal with one another. Through my time going through Campbell Savona Junior Senior High School, I noticed a couple things. The community of Campbell is incredibly gracious and cares about the future generations. The shows through the ample scholarships and awards given out to the students in the last portion of the year. Not only the community, but also seeing the absolute passion of most teachers. It's not every day that you get nearly perfect teachers, but I would consider myself lucky!
Campbell is a small town, average really, I live on the outskirts up on a hill, so I never really knew anybody in town except my friends that I have made at high school and a store attendant here or there. In Campbell is the (now) upstate farms cheese plant, years ago it use to be Polly-O dairy, (which is still the name that everybody knows it by) but that is the place that first made string cheese. When Kraft Foods owned it that plant was the only plant that made string cheese, but when Heinz bought out Kraft they foolishly closed/sold the plant and now have lost a couple of million dollars, which in turn made the plant fire people. Fortunately my father still works there because he is in maintenance. Essentially like any small town, the factory is the life of the town, many generations have worked there.
It's a calm an quiet place to live. Upstate New York, in general, is beautiful. Winter is super cold. There's not much to do really
