Great place to live and very affordable place for students to live, work, and commute to nearby colleges and universities. This area is also rich in history, most notably for its Revolutionary War battle. Camden also has a thriving horse racing community which brings many jobs to the area and provides entertainment for community members wanting to spectate a unique sport.
Camden is a wonderful place to live. The natural beauty of the town makes me smile. The people are nice, and the living is relatively cheap. Camden is a historic town, with many examples of 19th century architecture. Camden is a small town, and a great place to grow up or retire to a life outside of a big city. The state capital, Columbia, is a short 30-40 minutes away. Myrtle Beach is an hour and a half away, and Charleston is two hours away. Charlotte, North Carolina is an hour and a half away, and the Blue Ridge Mountains are two hours away.
Always something to do in this community! Free activities for families with children. Sports and recreation is available, but usually with a fee. Plenty of free public parks and greenspaces.
