Community in the area is pretty great. People usually stay all their lives and others like a chance to explore, but they always know they are always welcomed back. Events are held for people in need which includes bag-3-ton (food donation), charity events, and events for people who need help the most. Everyone is petty friendly. For pets make sure that when you take your dog out in town to clean up after them to show respect to others.
There's the Riverside Inn in town to dine at and hold parties, volunteering activities, races, charity events to participate, being in between Meadville and Edinboro allows for even more popular things to do, fishing in French Creek, trying a wide number of various restaurants, bowling, sports games for the High School, Waldameer and Presquile in Erie (which is 45 minutes away), movie theaters, the mall, and much much more.
It could be better to be honest. If they rebuilt some tourists attractions, like the board walk to the springs house, then jobs would grow at a very quick rate. But they do offer jobs for High school students trying to save up money. I have had 3 different jobs here and they have all paid well. I found jobs I wanted to try out such as working on a farm, food services, and babysitter. I know many adults that have jobs they enjoy, especially the teachers in this town.
