Living in Cambridge has been a wonderful experience. The rich diversity allows every resident and visitor feel at home. The commute to work, to Boston, and to the surrounding towns is very easy. Public transportation is easily accessible. Cambridge is a very safe and family friendly (and dog friendly!) town. I hope to live here for years to come!
To promote more teachers of color in Cambridge Public Schools, some type of stipend or grant should be offered. I find it strange that our teaching staff at CRLS does not acknowledge how diverse our children are and undiverse the teachers are, and the POC educators that are in the schools do not feel welcome or appreciated in the manner they should. Food trucks, a pop-up playground, and efforts to improve the atmosphere surrounding bus stops and subway stations/trains, free booth stands where small businesses can advertise their shops in the squares, and art alleyways.
Cambridge is an amazing city to live in with it's high standards in regards to education, both primary and secondary, the amazing job opportunities that are offered in the technology sectors, as well as the great and often cheap public transportation as Cambridge is interconnected with the MBTA (The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) public transit system. Unfortunately there isn't much to do at night beside going out for dining. There are a plethora of small businesses that offer amazing experiences to it's customers. However, the houses here are very expensive, often bein the the multi-millions. Cambridge has also been sufferings from gentrification as those who are living in the public housing are being moved constantly so that the buildings can be knocked down and rebuilt to be more modern and appealing to those who are moving into Cambridge.
