Callicoon Town Reviews
Rating 4.5 out of 5 2 reviews
Callicoon is a charming little town in upstate NY. The Sunday farmer’s market has local produce, beautiful flowers, and delicious baked breads. There might be a live band playing as you meander through the market, socializing with a great community (city folk and locals), and buying fresh goods. Restaurants with local foods and super cute shops are popping up. I’m happy to say the nearest mall is 50 miles away. For essentials, there is Agway, which has almost everything, and Pecks, an accommodating supermarket (if they don’t have the item you want they will provide it). More specialty items, including bedding and unique kitchen and bath items ( and crazy good food) can be found at Spruce! Good wine and tapas can be found at Robin’s store. The town movie theatre shows first rate films. Neighboring towns are also charming. It is a beautiful area to celebrate the great outdoors. It is not the Hamptons- much more chill.
A flashback to the Wild Wild West (on the east coast). Mansion Hotel is amazing. Some excellent restaurants and shops. Once we went for the weekend we ended a year later buying a weekend home under $300k is a steal.
