Callahan is a rural small town. The close relationships between friends and family is nice and convenient. However, there happen to be many cliques and the entire town revolves around football. This is nice if you love football and everything sports but arts students happen to differ. As a theatre student with a passion for performance, there are not many opportunities in Callahan.

I love the small town of Callahan. I feel safe in the small community and it is a very tight knit community. Everyone is willing to lend a hand when in another member in the community is in need. You watch out for you neighbors and your neighbors watch out for you. The crime rate in Callahan is little to none. The school system and teachers are excellent. Commute to and from work may be a 20-30 min drive but I like the escape from the big city. I wouldn't trade my small, sleepy, hometown to live anywhere else in this world!
Callahan is a small town near Jacksonville, FL and I have lived here my whole life. It's a really small town (although it's growing) so everyone knows each other and the town is like a big family. The town is in the countryside so it's spread out with many farms, fresh food, and clean air. All the public schools are near each other so parents can easily get between the schools and have easy access to their kids. The town is run on small business and the high schoolers helping the community out. A big downside to the town is that there isn't anywhere to hang out besides the local park, so many teenagers and adults have to drive to Jacksonville or Fernandina for entertainment. Although the town is very small it does have some celebrations like parades, the county fair, and a rail road crossing festival. It's a great place to live if you like peace and quiet.
