What I love most about Calhoun is the size. Everybody knows everybody, it's almost like a big family. Unfortunately, that's also one of the downsides of it. Rumors spread quickly and there is always drama. However, one of the best things about Calhoun is how the whole town unites on football Fridays. Since we're so small, we naturally are huge football fanatics! Everything is about our high school football here! Go Jackets!

While most people in this town are very kind and generous, I would like to see more social acceptance towards those with darker skin tones, different sexual orientations, and those who speak different languages.
Calhoun is the city in which my elementary and high school are located. My family decided to move down to Georgia from New Jersey for the soul purpose of putting me and my sister in Christian education. Because of my religious background I have had a different experience in the city of Calhoun than most residents. I have been able to grow up around a community of individuals who believe the same as I do, all while being exposed the different beliefs of people around me. Although this is a relatively small town, it is constantly growing and expanding to allow for more small businesses and opportunities.
