I was born and raised in Idaho, Boise more specifically. But with the rapid growth that Boise has been experiencing I have mover further out of the city to raise my family and I love it!
Downtown Caldwell at Indian Creek has an extent food seen, and the shopping is great. Most new housing developments are popping up every day and are all family friendly. The outskirts of Caldwell makes for great recreation options, such as fishing, hiking and hunting. Many Idaho natives are welcoming and friendly. All major shopping needs can be met without leaving Caldwell. The road construction seems never ending but shows the progress the city is making.
Caldwell is an okay city to live in. It is definitely more affordable than other Boise suburbs such as Meridian or Eagle, but that comes understandable downsides. There is not as much to do here compared to other areas (shopping, restaurants, events, etc.). However, for the price, it is a decent place to live.
