Great Community! Truly enjoy living in the Tidewater region of Virginia. The area is also historically rich, and the schools are nice.

Commuting to work is tremendously easy, even with traffic at the worst hours. The public schools are “incroyable”! (French= amazing!!). The marching bands and sports compete all across the United States. I feel it’s a safe place for children to grow up in and in today’s world that’s very important. With the school shootings happening in Florida and other parts of the US, many children are prepared for such a thing. No shootings have happened on campus and at least 2 officers are always present. If I had to choose one place for my future children to grow up, I would choose York County.
I moved here at the start of high school and I was extremely nervous to be in a brand new environment. The moment I got here it felt like home. It is perfect to me because I have never been in love with the city, but it has enough substance to keep busy. There’s historical landmarks, beaches, and wonderful restaurants. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
