Yadkin County is a poor county that needs to grow. It is stuck in poverty and needs a lift. The community is strong, but is biased towards insiders and families that have always lived there. It is hard for students and others to leave because it is hard to find steady and livable income. There isn't much to do, but we have plenty of farm activities for the idle mind.

This is not my first time here in Yadkin County but I am very much so satisfied with the area, as I am a family woman and the small town is a perfect place to raise children. Yes on the outskirts of a large town so I can still enjoy city life when need be.
I like the small town feel and the close community. It seems as everyone knows everyone and lends a helping hand whenever possible. There are county roads, grassy fields and plenty of nature to just sit and look at. It is all so peaceful.
