I really enjoy the scenery of White County. There are beautiful, lush mountains, lakes you can pedal boat in, an abundance of hiking trails. I also enjoy the fact that White County is 90 miles north of Atlanta, so you are not too close to the city, but you are not too far. There is a downside to White County as there is not that much to do especially for a younger crowd. This county is definitely a charm for people who are older and are ready to settle down.

Growing up, White County was a small, sleepy community. Everyone knew one another and there was a severe lack of after school activities for the local youth. The school athletic programs and clubs lacked funding and suffered. However, as the years pass, White County has grown and begun to establish itself as a wonderful gem hidden in the mountains of northeast Georgia. Larger businesses are beginning to open up shop and draw in a more diverse influx of people into the community. The schools are adapting and molding their curriculums to better prepare students for life after graduation. After school programs are on the up rise and helping keep the youth out of trouble and occupied. All in all, White County is on its way to becoming a wonderful and integrated place to settle down.
White county is a very small town and there is not much to do. But, on the upside, it is safe and everyone knows everyone. I don't know much about their schools but they seem to be pretty good. They just built an addition to their high school for 9th graders so you know its a growing community. There are a lot of jobs for high schools and your basic jobs for adults but a lot of people commute to surrounding towns for employment.
