What I like about Westmoreland County is the historic events that have transpired here, for example george Washington birth place. I don’t like how there hasn’t been any growth in the community or businesses in over a ten plus year span. Lots of racial biases are also a big red flag about this county.

Westmoreland Is a great place to visit. Historical, and rural countryside atmosphere is breathtaking and a peaceful place to retire. It has still has that Mayberry small town feel where everyone knows everyone. Real estate is low and land is available. The Potomac River and Westmoreland State Park are Beautiful. Washingtons birthplace and Stratford Hall are also a must see.
Montross is a small town i Virginia, not much goes on around here. The county as well as the schools are very poor. One good thing is that we are right on the water, summers are very peaceful, it's actually very peaceful in general, and overall it's a pretty tight knit community.
