Westchester County is the place to be! I have lived here all my life and there are a countless amount of things to do. Whether you and your friends want to go to the city for a night out or simply go to the movies and get some food. This place will forever be my home and it has shaped me into who I am today! I currently live in Buchanan, next to Montrose, and I have made life-long friendships!

Westchester County is a beautiful scene area in the Hudson Valley. I have lived here my entire and find it to be a terrific community with great school systems and family friendly neighborhoods. I particularly enjoy the convenience that it affords to easily travel in to New York City. I often take the commuter rail into NYC and can be there in under an hour. You get the best of both worlds as the town has a country feeling with mature trees, lots of grass and parks and simultaneously it has the convenience of city living. There are town centers with plenty of shops and trendy restaurants and renown chefs. The school systems are top notch and the community cares about people of all ages.
In my experience, Westchester County is a wonderful place to grow up in. Not only was I provided with a great education, but I was surrounded by multiple opportunities ranging from after school activities to community events. One of the things I love about living in Westchester is that there are so many towns next to yours, all of which are close by. If your town doesn’t have something you want all you need to do is drive fifteen or twenty minutes. Another good thing about living in Westchester is that the area offers plenty of parks and wooded trails to hike through. The county is located in the suburbs which I believe has a nice balance between population and outdoor life. And if I really yearn to be among crowds of people all I have to do is take an hour long train ride into New York City where I can see a Broadway show or wander around Times Square.
