Wallowa County Reviews

3 reviews
Local businesses are small and owned by people who are generally passionate about their field. Most are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Because of its rural location, costs might be a bit higher here than elsewhere. However, small and local businesses are something that are important to support.

There are certainly a few "professional" type jobs in the area. But for the most part, there are a lot of trade type jobs and minimum wage types (service oriented jobs). Most people who live here definitely are picking lifestyle over income. They live here because they love it and don't want to leave, even if they could make more money elsewhere.
There are many farm/ranch style houses (as this is largely a farming community). With that said, there are many new and very nice constructions in the area. Also many homes have been remodeled and have great quality. There is quite a large variety of homes to choose from.
