There is a lot to do in downtown Franklin. Good restaurants and nice little private shops with owners that live around here. Applefest brings people from all around, not just Venango County.

Semi-rural, tight-knit, family-oriented, economically depressed, aging, conservative. The county needs to have its own 4-year college and/or high-tech industrial jobs for it to thrive in the 21st century.
It's small and the school atmospheres are excellent. However, there are not as many opportunities as there are in a big city, but it has been a nice place to grow up.
