I have grown up Union for all 22 years of my life. I have seen Union grow, from seeing my friendly neighbors down Morris Ave to the Italian festival. My family has been residents of Union Township for 28 years and have brought all four of their children to Union High School. As Union is continuing to grow and building more apartments. I hope that the township’s continues to show and respect their community and hope to bring back festivals that help bring us together. What I really did enjoy from Union this past Spring was when they used to have food trucks come by city hall and will try various of cultural dishes. One thing I know is that food really can bring a community together and I have me people with small businesses and how blessed it was for them to share their story. One things Union has is the respect for the small businesses that are currently in Union and I hope that they continue to thrive as well. I will never forget the place I originally was from as I venture out.
I have lived in Union County for many years and I have found that are nothing but positive things I can say about it. Starting from the welcoming community, multiple selections of restaurants, the beautiful decorations around the holiday from different cultures and religions, and stores that are closely placed for your convenience. Union County is a community that is welcoming for all ages.
There's a very big difference between the different towns/cities in Union County. Cities like Elizabeth and Rahway have more diversity, but also frequently face economic and crime struggles. Then there's the wealthy towns such as Westfield/Summit/Berkeley Heights. It's like a completely different area compared to Elizabeth and Rahway. The majority of their population is white and makes $100,000+. I have been lucky enough to explore many of the towns that I was not familiar with growing up in UC, and there's always more to discover.
