A great many caring people and wonderful, interesting things to do! If you love to volunteer, this is the place to be. Humane societies, food banks, and after school programs galore exist. These are great resources for volunteering or for getting items when in need. The history of the area is amazing and fascinating. Prophetstown and the other historical sites are must places to visit. The food options are varied and are usually available at all hours of the day.

Tippecanoe County in Central Indiana is a diverse, predominantly middle-class county that includes fertile farmland as well as the pre-eminent Purdue University. Tippecanoe County is home to historic sites as well as state of the art scientific laboratories. The county seat of Lafayette and it's sister city West Lafayette boast relatively low crime, a high quality of life and a higher degree of cultural diversity than most Midwestern communities due to the international university population.
There isnt really much to do in Tippecanoe county, but it is a generally safe, affordable place to live. When you exit from the highway, the "main attraction" is the Tippecanoe Mall, but it isn't anything special. The architecture in Downtown Lafayette is pretty cool, but most of the houses are run-down and turned into apartment complexes. There is always major traffic happening, which makes commuting 10 miles turn into a 30 minute drive.
