I live in Abilene, Tx. I love this town and county because it is small yet not too small! There isn't a ton of people but there is still a bunch of fun stuff to do. The only thing I would change would be the potholes on all the roads. Some are dangerous and need to be filled in.

I have lived here all my life and I would say in general it is a good place to live in. However, there are some places in Taylor County that I would not recommend living in. Other than that, the overall community is great and the downtown area is beautiful to walk around and shop, or just look at the lovely scenery.
It has great schooling systems, but the Abilene area has a bad reputation the violence is getting worse and worse, and the streets are not taken well care of. There are plenty of churches, however, and I have made many friends throughout Taylor County.
