Sussex is a gorgeous rural town. I personally fell in love with the atmosphere and landscape from the mountain views to the lake communities. My personal favorite spot is High Point which is relatively close to Sussex. High Point's monument is a staple in its entirety however, at sunset its a photographers dream or in my case a form of serenity for a stressed out nursing student. The spacious land is never dull in any season of the year from the spring and its sprouting wild flowers, to the summer with lakes filled with splashing memories and the hint of sunscreen lingering in the air, to the fall and its leaves robust colors, and to the winter and its mounds of snow. Furthermore, the sunsets you can always rely on for their beauty with the sun clinging onto the horizon of the mountains spreading its last few moment of light are nothing short of glorious. Sussex is the reason why New Jersey is known as the Garden State!

My family and I are residents of Sussex County. We have enjoyed the beautiful area that we live in and we feel very fortunate to have such beautiful surroundings. The area has so much to offer! We have skiing in the winter with Mountain Creek right up the road! We have beautiful lakes and scenery to enjoy in the summer and there is beautiful orchids to go Apple picking in the fall. We are minutes away from Warwick, New York where they have some wonderful restaurants and shops. One of my favorite things are the trees in the fall. I'm very fond of where my family and I live. We have made many wonderful memories and we look forward to making many more. I wouldn't change it for the world!
I have lived in Sussex County since I was 7 years old, it is a beautiful and nature-oriented place. For a person like myself that enjoys the outdoors Sussex County has a lot of opportunities; like fishing, hunting, hiking, and sightseeing. Before I lived in Sussex County I lived in upstate New York, and I really like that they are very similar. I could never see myself in a fast-paced city or town, the best thing about living here is the quiet and natural atmosphere. Sussex County also has so many sights and history, it is not just a wonderful place to live it is also a great place to visit.
