I like how Sussex County feels like a community, and everyone is welcoming. The schools try are academically challenging, and the teachers try their best to from relationships with the students and push them beyond their limits. The environment feels safe and secure in most areas, and it is very family friendly. The commute time is difficult for some people though. There is some diversity. There are many job opportunities, especially in the area of teaching.
Sussex County is like no other county in New Jersey. In my opinion, it should be rated in the top 5 counties to live in. The beauty and serenity of the county is something to cherish and enjoy. People are warm and friendly; businesses are willing to go the extra mile to help you in any way that they can. All my experiences have been positive, whether I am doing business or visiting the sites. It's an amazing place to raise a family. It is an exceptional county with so many amenities, too many to list.
Sussex is a gorgeous rural town. I personally fell in love with the atmosphere and landscape from the mountain views to the lake communities. My personal favorite spot is High Point which is relatively close to Sussex. High Point's monument is a staple in its entirety however, at sunset its a photographers dream or in my case a form of serenity for a stressed out nursing student. The spacious land is never dull in any season of the year from the spring and its sprouting wild flowers, to the summer with lakes filled with splashing memories and the hint of sunscreen lingering in the air, to the fall and its leaves robust colors, and to the winter and its mounds of snow. Furthermore, the sunsets you can always rely on for their beauty with the sun clinging onto the horizon of the mountains spreading its last few moment of light are nothing short of glorious. Sussex is the reason why New Jersey is known as the Garden State!
