I love Spokane County! I grew up here, moved away, and came back. PNW for LIFE! Spokane may not be the most hoppin place for 20 somethings, but we're working hard to change that. Spokane has also made great bounds in inclusivity in the last 5 years!
Spokane offers four distinct seasons and lots of outdoor activities available year-round. It is easy to find places to hike, bike, swim, and ski and there are plenty of lakes and rivers a short drive from the city. Spokane’s real estate market is fairly affordable and job opportunities are decent. It lags behind other medium-sized cities in diversity and nightlife. On the plus side, the city is considered family-friendly, there are a lot of free or affordable activities for families to enjoy. Commute times vary of course but probably average less than 20 minutes for most residents living and working within city limits.
