Somerset County Reviews
Honestly, I have grown up here my entire life, and I am just ready to leave. There is absolutely nothing to do but drive around. The people here are small-minded. My high school was a good education but the people were not a fun time. There is no movie theather, no shopping, nothing. Seven Springs is a plus though.
Somerset County is a very small, rural tight knit community. I like the fact that there are no to minimal violent crimes in the area and everybody knows everybody. It would be nice if there were better job opportunities in the area. The area is not large, so there is not much to offer for bigger companies to move in and create more work in the local area.
Somerset is a wonderful place to raise a family. Rural and suburban, there is a lot of space and beautiful landscapes. Close enough to Pittsburgh and neighboring Johnstown, but it still leaves something to be desired. Not much in the way of local businesses, they tend not to thrive.
