As the capital municipality of Puerto Rico, San Juan has a lot to offer. From Old San Juan's historicity and artistic life, to the eccentricity of parts of Santurce and Río Piedras, there's pretty much something of everything the island has to offer. I have spent most of the time I've lived here in Río Piedras, however, and would prefer to talk to you about it. See, Río Piedras used to be it's own municipality, and is now a rather empoverished section of San Juan. It's where the biggest concentration of artists and intellectuals is to be found, however, as it is centered by the Río Piedras campus of the UPR, its main campus. The entire area around it is affordable, mostly frequented by smart and caring people or at least creative people, mostly students, and cultural activities such as plays, concerts and exibitions still abound. I'd love for more money to flow into the life and infrastructure of Río Piedras in the near future. Maybe some new neighbors could help with that!

San Juan is a very vibrant city, but despite all the social activity in it, it has many flaws regarding mobility, accesibility and public space. Most of the city is sprawled and the movement throughout it is only possible by car, which makes it a very crowded city with terrible traffic and rush hours. Job market related, there is not many job opportunities for people in creative, artistic or design career paths. Puerto Rico, is still a very outdated place regarding work that is artistic, innovative or atypical.
Their history and night life, San Juan is one of those cities that never sleep, it has beautiful beaches, excellent Food and beverage restaurants and spectacular hotels and views. Also the historic town has the diversity of flora and you can walk thru its street securely. Cause the police are always making security rounds.
