Rutherford county, although real estate is high, the economy is at a constant growth. The people are friendly and the commute to downtown nashville is less than an hour. There are plenty of good restaurants to choose from and things to keep you entertained at night. The traffic can get bad however there are plenty of alternate routes that can be used.
Our city is considered by many to be college town, thus we have many, many take-out/delivery options as well as many fast food options. Murfreesboro also has a fair mix of locally owned restaurants and chain restaurants. Several of the most popular local restaurants are on or right off the town square, including The Maple Street Grill, B McNeels, Far East, and Marina's. A little further out at the Readyville Mill is Goodness Gracious, where they serve fabulous pancakes as well as many other breakfast/brunch/lunch options! Close to or on the Avenue we have a good mix of local/chain restaurants for whatever you're in the mood for. There are several chain steakhouses, the Phunky Griddle, the Egg and I, Your Pie (all locally owned businesses), as well as several barbeque places, hibachi grills, and a few Mexican options as well.
