Great area safe a beautiful lots to do close to New York City and lots of natural and travel available
It's a nice place, with many fun activities to do, really peaceful lakes all around, and so many restaurants and nice schools.
I love living in Rockland Country!
It’s close to the city, but feels worlds away in the country!
It has a home town feel, but you don’t know everyone in it. A smile goes a long way.

It is a great area with good school districts. It has nice scenery and parks. There are plenty of restaurants too.
I have lived my whole life in Rockland County which meant many years of getting to know great people with big hearts.
There isn't much to do around here besides shopping and going out to eat, but it's safe and clean. Schools are highly-rated, except in Ramapo, but the cost of living is too high to justify living in an area with so few recreational amenities.
I love Rockland County. The people are friendly, the area is very safe, and the school districts are great. There are a lot of great local food options and it has a very home-like feel to it.
Rockland County, is filled with many well rounded opportunities to experience the best Rockland has to offer.
Rockland county is a very nice family area, with good schooling and housing. The area has good restuarants and certain towns are very diverse. But the cost of living is very high. Maybe too high for certain people. A very nice nature seen with a lot of parks, some towns are more urban while others are more laid back. Most towns are really close to each other but morning commutes to New York City can be a pain. There is usually filming being done which is also cool.
Rockland county is one of the most taxed counties. The school districts are always focused on ways to fundraise for sports. Although the academic rates are high, I feel like sports are put above academics in every aspect. As a community I feel like it should be more diverse because there are certain groups of people in one area.
It is a very nice county, good schools, quiet neighborhoods, and reachable entertainment. Roughly 30 minutes to NYC, Westchester, and right next to the New Jersey Border. It is more expensive real estate and tax wise, but for the safety, school quality, and proximity to other areas, it is close to worth it for the cost.
If you're of a wealthy status you can afford to live and here and blend in. I didn't like that the neighborhoods were so segregated and the people there are not that friendly to you if you're of another race other than white. The school systems are good for elelmentary students but when they get to middle and high school, the core curriculum is lagging behind. Nice houses in sparkill and when you're going further up Rockland.
Located near the Hudson River, this beautiful town has everything from pancake houses to kayaking on the river to farmer's markets. There is something for everyone!
I like that it's a very quiet place to leave in. Something that I would change is to have more busses transportation.
it is very nice and clean county. every ting is available like next t door. it is not a very rushy place. there are good schools and colleges. moreover, this county has many shopping centers and the one of the biggest mall of USA is here named as palisades mall.
Rockland is a great place for families to live. The schools are good and it is a short commute to the city and upstate. I would like if housing were more affordable for an individual or if there were more affordable rentals.
great place to live in north rockland county new york. stony point is very historic. Tomkins cove is also a very small town that is also a great place to live.
