My personal experience with Rhea County has been pretty great. I have my mom and dad and two sisters that I live with and food on the table. There's not much I can personally complain about. I played football for Rhea County High this past year and the community comes together to watch us play our hearts out and always cheers us on win, lose, or draw. I would like to see a change in the community and people giving back more to all of the sponsors for football and other sports.

Rhea county has a lot of local involvement available. It has many things to do for a small town. It’s close to the water and has many access to the water. The food scene is good as well with many fast food restaurants and just as many set in restaurants.
For a city of about 7,000 people, Dayton does an okay job. The downtown area has two locally owned coffee shops and two restaurants. One of each, Harmony House and The Dayton Coffee Shop, are long-time staples with terrible hours (4:00 and 3:00 closing, respectively). The other two, You-Ni-Que Cuisine and Market St. Coffee, are newer. These kinds of establishment to to expand on the hours of the established local, but still never last long.

There is also a Walmart and a plethora of fast food joints, but that's about it.
