The area is actually a very safe area but there are not many opportunities or activities for young persons. Pool and skating rink now closed, only employment are state jobs or low paying factory jobs. Cost of living relatively inexpensive.

People in this area support each other. There is usually fundraising at any time for persons with illness, or family tradgedy.
THe lack of industry has impacted the area negatively. Adults are having to seek employment outside of the area which seems to have caused an outward migration of higher financial class families and an influx of lower class families moving in.

This area needs more industry and better paying jobs to keep residents from leaving.
