Polk county has always been the laugh of central Florida. Known for being crazy and country. Although that is not all true. The county is beautifully made, with many city’s full of business and elegant homes. The balance of city to nature is incredible. Polk county is more then meets the eye, or covers the news, Polk county is the heart of Florida. So close to both coasts and not a far drive to popular cities like Orlando and Tampa. My county allows you to be close to the city, but live without big city problems. It’s a beautiful area everyone must experience.

I have lived in Polk County almost my whole life, and I wouldn't have wanted to be raised anywhere else. There are some areas safer than others, but it is the biggest county in Florida after all! The public schools are okay if a child has advanced or doesn't get involved in bad things then they should be alright. Although, if they tend to get into trouble and are in more intensive classes, the chances of them getting into the wrong crowd is much higher.
As a resident of Polk county, it’s not really about the place itself, it’s more about what your make of it. There are some things I love about Polk county and some things I don’t like. I make the best out of the environment I am in. Polk county is just an average county with its ups and downs but one thing for sure you can depend on is spending times with loved ones
