Pima is a great area for families and retirees. There are many top rated elementary schools, the community college has many locations for easy access, neighborhoods are well kept, restaurants, and entertainment! Everything is in a convenient proximity. There are also some beautiful parks and walking/bike trails. There is always something to do and boredom will never be a problem, Pima is becoming a fast growing area!

I like the work being put towards better roads, the community, and thriving business. I like to see more money/effort put into the things that actually need it, like parks and some seriously bad roads.
As a teenager, I can't speak to the nightlife options in Oro Valley-- the craziest things get for me is when I'm at the library until closing time.

Restaurants nearby are pretty good, though. There's a really great Japanese ramen place called Ikkyu nearby, and right next door is a boba tea shop. Combined, that makes a fantastic hangout spot. I also really like Nicos Tacos, a local establishment with inexpensive Mexican food options, and Fruit Shack, a locally-owned smoothie shop that makes fantastic stuffed soft pretzels.

The problem is that everything closes very early in Oro Valley. It's hard to find anything to do after 8 or 9pm. I think that can be attributed to the influx of retired people- none of them want to stay out late. Which is unfortunate for young people on Saturday night, but it definitely keeps us out of trouble!
