Orange county is an overall good place to live. There are really no bad public schools here. The taxes are high but the county is very transparent about what tax money goes towards. It is also near many big NC cities. The worst part would have to be not enough available housing, but new neighborhoods appear every year, so that is changing.
Everyone here is so nice! The beauty of the country as well as the suburban areas are amazing. I have lived here all my life and I am so glad to call this place home.
