Oneida County Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 4 reviews
I have lived in Oneida county my whole life. While I have enjoyed living here, it really isn't a great place to live. There is a lot of violence and it is nerve wracking to even walk down the street in broad daylight. It is somewhat difficult to get places without a car and it's difficult to get a job unless you know someone. On the otherhand, the schools here are great and there are a few neighborhoods that are really nice. There are also a few parks and recreational options and the library is a very beautiful place. I would definitely change the availability of public transportation and also make it safer to live.
I think it could use some revitalization. Although, there seems to be a lot of community interest in making this happen, with new places opening in the town. It just needs to be cleaned up.
I grew up in a small town within Oneida County. I had an amazing experience growing up there until I went off to college. The smaller sized school district and safe feeling of a close community were very comforting while growing up. Although at times it seemed like the town didn't have much to offer- looking back I wouldn't change a thing about growing up there and hope to one day return.
