Oldham County is a community based county that provides a small-town feel in a growing area. It is home to numerous family generations, yet it continues to grow and support new businesses and families both big and small. It is home to many schools where children can grow to be successful and confident lifelong learners and leaders. Growing up and attending school in Oldham County has made me appreciative of my community because of the constant support I receive and thankful for the numerous opportunities I have been given.
Oldham County is the best of both worlds. It has that small town feel however is not too far away from the bigger shopping centers. Within the city limits are the small shops clustered together for an afternoon walk yet it only takes about 20 minutes to get to a shopping center with Target or Bed, Bath, and Beyond.
The one thing I would like to see progress in Oldham County is a larger variety of sit down family restaurants.
