Oconee County Reviews

There are many many opportunities to get involved in the community. I have interacted with well over 50 local businesses, helped non-profits, and utilized the school's abundance of options. If myself as a senior in Highschool can be this involved, imagine what you, as a prospective business owner/homeowner/parent, can do!

I really enjoy living in Oconee County. We moved here from Athens for the great schools and could not be happier with the level of public education. Its a great location to get to Athens, Atlanta and South Carolina.
Overall Oconee county is an excellent place to live if you can find work in neighboring Athens. If not, you are a fairly long commute from the nearest major city. The cost of living is very reasonable and there are a lot of amenities for such a small town.
