The county offers a quiet and peaceful environment with access to many different needs. With a great school system and an increase in real estate development, it’s a great area to raise a family. I wouldn’t change anything about the county!

I am a current resident of Northampton and I quite enjoy the area. I attended Northampton Area high School for 2 years and I found the school different. Everyone already has their own group that they hand out with but they are not fond of other people joining that group. The Nightlife is very safe and quiet, nothing really happens there. The homes can range from a small town house to a half a million dollar house. The homes and apartments there a averagely affordable and the places to go (Ex. The Roxy movie theater) are reasonably priced. Since Northampton is a big area the commute to work can range from right down the road to half way across the county. The only problem is that the roads can be very bad at some spots and it can mess up your rims.
I have lived in Northampton for over 18 years. Of all the places I visited, Northampton feels the most at home. Although it’s not very diverse, I do feel safe as an African-American female. It’s quiet and clean here. The only major disadvantage currently is a lack of good employment opportunities. A commute will be necessary.
