I walk to and from school 5 days a week so I get to observe a lot that's going on around me. That being said, I see trash scattered around the sidewalks, homeless people camping in recreational areas, druggies, etc. I feel generally safe but I do pass by a lot of shady people when I am walking to school. I'd say that and the affordability is the only downside to living in the Portland/Multnomah area.

I love living in Multnomah! My family moved here several years ago, and I love how close we are to both the urban area of Downtown Portland while also being surrounded by small local businesses and so much nature and the outdoors!
The people of Multnomah county are nice to get along with. But as far as the young people go, the gun violence needs to change. The reason why is that they are walking around with small handguns and putting extended clips on them. Well to me that is a huge problem when it comes to this county.
