The local businesses in this area are very good. We have small businesses in this area the only big business that we have is Wal-mart. Wal-mart is sorta of like the mall here in Bastrop. Wal-mart has a variety from groceries to house supplies to automotive repairs to clothes and a hair salon. We also have two other Grocery stores one up town and more down town. We also have other small outlet stores where you can buy clothes, shoes and ect. We have hair stores and many gas stations. Of course you want beable to get everything you need out of theses stores but these businesses are very very reliable.

In Bastrop LA the safety and the crime are okay. The safety here people have always keep your eyes open some of the time because you never know when someone will have that moment where they want to shoot, rob or etc. Bastrop is consider to be one of the top ten cities in the LA for high crime rates. The police officers here in my opinion aren't very reliable because when you call to report a crime it takes them forever to respond. This is my rate and review on the crime and safety in the city where I live.
This community is a very small area. The best part about living in a small area is the loyalty people have for each other. Yes, I would move back to this area.
