It’s a growing community but has very little to offer families- Stay away if you have a family! Everything is too spread out AND KIDS WILL GET BORED FAST! Drugs and drinking are a huge problem and the get too many New Yorkers coming here and treating the area like a toilet.

Monroe county is a beautiful place in the Poconos where I moved when I was 2. Its a great place to grow up. However its a mostly small town feel it's not exactly everyone knows everyone, but its close. This causes me to feel cramped especially at school and I definitely want to leave the county for college
Here in Monroe county, there is a lot to do and good resources for the people that live in the area. The East Stroudsburg school district is very good, with great staff and well done buildings. Also, in East Stroudsburg there is plenty to do around town. There are several movie theaters, a bowling alley, and a roller rink.
