Monongalia County Reviews
Rating 3.45 out of 5 67 reviews
Mon County offers access to outstanding outdoor amenities, the state's by far best educational assets, a very low crime rate, and proximity to large urban centers. It is the gem of West Virginia.
Monongalia has always been my home. I love this place. Sometimes things bother me. When we have sporting events it seems that the only thing that matters are what is going on that day. Traffic is never ending nor is the loitering or partying. I would also say that the roads are in terrible conditions. We have many teachers at I would say one of the best schools leave and go out of town because our pay rate is so low. This is a beautiful place to live at certain times of the year.
Morgantown, WV is a beautiful place with some of the friendliest people I've ever met. This place also has a cool urban vibe with being the home of WVU. Plus the sports options are abundant - running the rail to trail, paddling canoes or whitewater, Mountianeer football, baseball at the Mon. Co. Ballpark, or hiking at Coopers Rock State Forest. So much to do & so much to see.
