I love living in Mecklenburg County! My family and I live very close to the University, Northlake and Concord area and because of that, it is close to a lot of great shopping areas, grocery stores, restaurants, and churches. I haven't had much experience with the school situations but I know that there are some large public and private schools nearby.

Mecklenburg County is large and encompassing. I believe that the public school system could be improved, but we have a growing population which will bolster our economy. I love the parks and recreation centers that we have because they promote healthy living in an urban country like Mecklenburg. We also have a rich history that can be learned at various museums and exhibits across the county.
I have grown up in Mecklenburg County and lived here my entire life. While I have had an overall positive experience here, once you hit high school you begin to notice the lack of things to do until you are 21. While walking around with friends is nice and all, I,d like to simply see more things to do (museums, parks, etc). Other than that, this has always been a safe place to live and I would recommend it to anyone looking to move to an urban spot of North Carolina.
