Macon County Reviews
Rating 4.5 out of 5 2 reviews
Macon County, snuggled right in the valley within the Great Smoky Mountains in a sight to see. Mountain range views from all sides, and smiles all around from the lifetime locals that reside there. The seasons are truly remarkable and can be made perfect with a ride through the parkway on a cool fall afternoon. Delicious southern delicacies flood your taste buds at any establishment you partake in, Ms. Lois's diner being an all time favorite of mine. The water is cool and the summer delicately warm in the summer, perfect for some reading in a hammock or sunbathing until the sun goes down. The crisp summer evenings typically consist of a cool breeze, creating the perfect atmosphere for a night in a tent with a campfire close by. I lived in Macon County for over 10 years and overall am so grateful for such a beautiful experience. Time in those beautiful mountains are good for the soul.
There isn't not much to do in our small town but the people are very loving and everyone seems to know everyone. I moved here in 6th grade and immediately felt at home.
