Litchfield County Reviews
Rating 4.5 out of 5 6 reviews
The academic opportunities are diverse, but the student body is not. Clubs and organizations are plentiful and students can find activities catered to every interest.
Litchfield Connecticut is the typical smaller, middle to upper-class neighborhood that you can find in the rural part of Connecticut. I have recently moved to Litchfield from Waterbury, an almost impoverished part of the state. When I had arrived in Litchfield, I almost could not believe how nice of a town it truly is. The first week out I was bringing the garbages in and noticed that the neighbors had actually come outside to help which was unusual in my prior neighborhood setting. During the first of many blizzards, I went outside to shovel the driveway and noticed it was plowed. I was honestly confused because we had not asked someone to plow it, but they did it out of kindness. This type of behavior was a cultural shock for me and it truly changed how I view the world today.
As a life time resident of the Litchfield county, I can tell you with certainty that it is all that you could possibly expect of it. While there is not much in the realm of entertainment, the opportunities that come few and far in between are always incredible. The people are incredibly kind and generous, and the scenery is gorgeous. The Litchfield County fosters success with its elementary schools and high schools. The students get to learn in a clean, inviting, warm environments while still being in the same room with experts. Housy gave me the best high school experience I ever could have asked for, as their staff truly listen to the kids and only try to make every child's life better. Could not have asked for a better place to grow up in.
