Great area to explore and try new things. It may seem like a small town that alleviates the opportunity of doing big city things and trying mainstream forms of entertainment at times but makes up with the countless nature-based activities available to the public.
I have lived in Leon County since 1979. This area has grown in population tremendously. The county has not kept up with the need of having things to do for nightlife. One would have to travel to see a good concert or do anything that is popular at that given time. Great place to raise a family or start planning for your family. September through November is football season so if your a anoles fan or Rattler fan you will have plenty of activity to keep you busy!
There are some great areas of Leon County, and the college area is good for students. However, there seems to be a problem with the roads and a high level of car accidents for the area. Lately also, crime near FSU campus has spiked, it seems that the crime from the bad areas has begun to bleed into student living areas. Downtown is beautiful, and Tallahassee has a lot to do, but it can be unsafe at times especially for college students.
