Ketchikan Gateway Borough Reviews
I'm currently a teenager in the town of Ketchikan Alaska. I would say the schools here are great, compared to the other locations I've lived. Summers are always bustling with tourist, which is quite intresting and fun to see such diversity in one small area. One thing I've noticed is the overall mental health issues among the youth. Most children ages 11-17, not all, have to some degree depression. I've seen it all to common, and they dont get help for the issues they are facing. Some have even gone as far as considering suicide as a way to get out of their daily lives. If you do move here, please check up on how your children are doing. It could save a life if someone really needs help.
I've lived in Ketchikan for over 10 years. Pretty little island town with a beautiful view of the water and mountains. So many outdoor activity opportunities and job opportunities especially in the summer because of tourist season. Great place to live and retire. Easy to get to places. Don't get too much snow. It rains a lot. People are friendly and welcoming. Great community that supports and help each other out.
I haven't really used this site before so this is new. so far it seems good. Thank you for asking. As for Ketchikan, Alaska I love it here, it's a small island that has very little crime. It is a wonderful place to raise a family and work. The professors here are all really nice, I cant wait to get all of my schooling done and become a registered nurse, so I can start helping people and take care of them. Thank you for your time, and I really hope you choose me for the scholarship.
