I am a senior at Indian Trail High School and Academy and I've lived in Kenosha for about thirteen years. The school district here (Kenosha Unified School District) has excellent public schools and also has other speciality schools and charter schools. Don't depend on the bus system here is small. There isn't much to do here, but you are next to Lake County in Illinois, which included popular destinations such as Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, IL). The only jobs available here are mostly simple jobs such as warehousing and community service as most people here commute to Illinois for their jobs. Overall, Kenosha is a great place to live for the family.

Kenosha County has fairly good public schools, although most suffer from student on student violence and drug problems. Their are many policies however to combat this issue, but not enough people actively enforcing the policies. Kenosha county is very affordable theirs many markets close to eachother so by finding a shopping center you can buy whatever you may need. Commuting to a shopping center is also easy with the many services private and public. Kenosha Transit is a bus company that will essentially take you anywhere. The city is very safe in the day times however after curfew the city becomes unsafe for anyone to be out. In Summary Kenosha is a good city for the elderly, as they can just live in good neighborhoods, and can travel short distances for many amenities.
I am born and raised in Kenosha, WI. I absolutely love each neighborhood that I have lived in. Not only that, but I went through the school system here in town and was definitely prepared and supported through each year of school. Now that I am married I am living downtown and I love it even more than before. The downtown area has so much to offer in terms of entertainment, food, and even business. I love Kenosha!
