Kenosha County is pretty amazing. Our community is accepting & helpful in every way shape & form. Passing through there are many different places of interest to tell the actual history of Kenosha, the present as it is, & also futuristic planned developments. Our Restaurants in the area cover just about any culture. There is always something new happening here, whatever your interests may be, Kenosha has it covered! Gorgeous Lakefront, Public Parks, Historic Buildings, Tavern Life, Artistic Venues, just to name a few things... Kenosha is great & we take pride in our little county/city!
It took me a while for me to love Kenosha. I love big cities like Chicago, Dallas, Miami etc. But kenosha is very small compared to those cities so I was always bored because they didn't have fun things in the area. You have to make it fun by trying out new places in the area. There are a lot of cute places downtown to eat and the lake is right by those restaurants. My best friend and I love taking walks by the lake and getting ice cream. It's nice feeling the breeze and watching the sunset. I also can't complain about Kenosha being small because everything is so close. I am starting to love Kenosha now because of their events and the people.
I am a senior at Indian Trail High School and Academy and I've lived in Kenosha for about thirteen years. The school district here (Kenosha Unified School District) has excellent public schools and also has other speciality schools and charter schools. Don't depend on the bus system here is small. There isn't much to do here, but you are next to Lake County in Illinois, which included popular destinations such as Six Flags Great America (Gurnee, IL). The only jobs available here are mostly simple jobs such as warehousing and community service as most people here commute to Illinois for their jobs. Overall, Kenosha is a great place to live for the family.
