Kennebec County is a county located in the state of Maine, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 122,151. Its county seat is Augusta, the state capital. The county was established on 20 February 1799 from portions of Cumberland and Lincoln Counties. The name Kennebec comes from the Eastern Abenaki, meaning "large body of still water, large bay."
This area is nice, there isn't much that is too special. It is right in central Maine so you don't have to travel to far to get to a city, or nature! For the most part, the town feels pretty safe, especially compared to across the country.
I absolutely love Kennebec County, I feel everything and everyone is just so nice. I moved here from CT and honestly, I was not sure what to expect. Everyone says it is more expensive to live here but I have noticed it is less expensive.
